The detail is very authentic right down to the color and includes embroidered patches and a gold-toned fighter that hangs from the zipper pull. The jacket is insulated and features two pockets, knitted waist band, collar and sleeves...like the real MA1 Jackets. Shell/lining is 100% nylon. Fill is 100% polyester. Machine wash.
The MA-1 bomber jacket (also known as the MA-1 flight jacket) was first developed in the mid 1950s. The MA-1 and its predecessor, the B-15 Flight Jacket, were needed at that time because the emergence of the jet age created new requirements for pilot performance, safety and comfort.
This is a well made reproduction of the famous MA-1 green nylon quilted jacket in children sizes that all future aviators will wear will pride!
